STREBE JENNY BY ERIN DANIELS

CULTURE // LEADING LADY KNOW MAGAZINE 13 After completing her education, Jenny delved into the world of hairstyling, working for a reputable company and honing her skills. However, Jenny’s journey becoming a hairstylist was not without its challenges. Hailing from a small town, she faced initial doubt from her family when she chose hairstyling over a more traditional career path. “I faced a lot of skepticism from my family when I decided to pursue hairstyling instead of a traditional college education,” Jenny shared. “But that only fueled my determination to prove them wrong and show that hairstyling is a legitimate and rewarding career.” After years of hard work and dedication, Jenny became a soughtafter hairstylist, working with various companies. She even embarked on a backpacking adventure through Europe, gaining international experience and inspiration for her future ventures. Driven by ambition, Jenny embraced every opportunity to grow professionally. She participated in multiple Fashion Week events, wrote three books that gained global recognition, and continued to grow her community. As social media and blogging emerged as powerful tools for connection, Jenny saw an opportunity to share her knowledge and educate others. Thus, Confessions of a Hairstylist was born. In a candid moment, Jenny enny Strebe is a name that has become synonymous with creativity, passion, and innovation in the hairstyling industry. With over 20 years of experience, she has evolved from being a talented hairstylist to a successful entrepreneur, author, and creator of her own hair care line, AIIR Professional. Jenny’s love for hair began at a young age. Even as a child, she found joy in giving her Barbie dolls makeovers and experimenting with different hairstyles. Jenny recalled her childhood dreams, saying, “From the moment I picked up a Barbie doll, I knew I wanted to be a hairstylist. It was like an instinct that never left me.” With this innate calling, Jenny pursued her dream, attending cosmetology school and embarking on a journey that would lead her to achieve far more than she could have ever imagined. “I wanted to create more than just another hair product. AIIR Professional is about mindfulness and empowerment. It’s about infusing everyday hair care with intention and purpose.” admitted, “Being in front of the camera was terrifying at first. But I realized it was the best way to connect with my audience and share my passion for hair care.” Her blog and later her presence on platforms like Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram allowed her to build a community and share her expertise with hairstylists and everyday women alike. Her dedication to educating her audience on hair care eventually laid the foundation for her future venture—AIIR Professional. The name “AIIR” not only alludes to Michael Jordan’s iconic shoe line, which Jenny admires for its relentless pursuit of excellence, but also represents the freedom, endless possibilities, and clarity one finds while gazing into the sky or traveling to new places. Air is an element that represents life and breath, symbolizing the balance and wellness that Jenny sought to infuse into her products. AIIR Professional isn’t just a hair care line; it’s a reflection of Jenny’s core beliefs and values. The brand is built on the principles of wellness, balance, and the power of rituals. Jenny’s background in yoga and positive thinking inspired her to create a hair care line that goes beyond superficial beauty and promotes inner strength and wisdom. Each product is infused with elements like sapphire, “representing washing away negativity, and encouraging positivity and strength.” Describing the inspiration behind her haircare line, Jenny explained, “I wanted to create more than just another hair product. AIIR Professional is about mindfulness and empowerment. It’s about infusing everyday hair care with intention and purpose.” The path to launching AIIR Professional was not without obstacles. Jenny sought investors for her innovative venture, only to be met with rejection from every meeting. However, she refused to be deterred by setbacks and instead, invested her own savings into the company, securing full ownership and control of her brand. Jenny’s unwavering belief in her vision and her willingness to embrace challenges allowed her to turn a potential failure into a monumental success. J

14 KNOW MAGAZINE Recalling the challenges of finding investors for AIIR Professional, Jenny said, “I faced rejection after rejection. But I refused to give up on my vision. I believed in my product, and I was willing to invest my own savings to make it happen.” Jenny credits much of her success to the support and connections she built within her community. Whether it’s her social media followers or her involvement with KNOW, she values the strength of collaboration and learning from others. Jenny emphasized the significance of her community, saying, “I owe so much to my followers and supporters. They’ve been with me through thick and thin, and their feedback and encouragement have been invaluable.” In her remarkable journey, Jenny has learned valuable lessons, one being that there is always a solution to a problem. No matter how tough a situation may seem, she advises reframing it and embracing challenges to grow personally and professionally. Looking ahead, Jenny plans to take AIIR Professional to new heights by expanding internationally and partnering with major consumer retailers like Sephora and Nordstrom. “I dream of seeing AIIR Professional products on the shelves of major retailers, reaching women all around the world,” Jenny shared. “I want to inspire people to embrace self-care and wellness, one hair care ritual at a time.” She dreams of empowering more people through her products and continuing to educate and inspire hairstylists and enthusiasts worldwide. Jenny Strebe’s story is a testament to the power of passion, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose. From a young girl playing with Barbies to a successful entrepreneur, she has continuously pushed her boundaries, embracing challenges and creating a brand that not only enhances physical beauty but also fosters a sense of balance and wellness. As she continues to pave the way for innovative hairstyling and entrepreneurship, Jenny’s journey serves as an inspiration to all aspiring hairstylists and entrepreneurs to truly believe in themselves and their passions. aiirprofessional.com @theconfessionsofahairstylist “I dream of seeing AIIR Professional products on the shelves of major retailers, reaching women all around the world.
