With its vibrant notes of fresh lime and grapefruit, this cocktail perfectly balances sweetness and tanginess, leaving a refreshing and unforgettable taste on your palate. Gather and measure all your ingredients ahead of time so that you can mix and enjoy our drink with your guests! XOXO, Chef Rosana Simple Syrup • Combine water & sugar in a small sauce pot. Bring to a boil in high heat, lower and allow to simmmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Set aside Cocktail Mix • In a mixing glass, combine tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, pinch of salt & 1 ounce of prepared simple syrup • Stir thoroughly with a weighted spoon or spatula Preparing the drink (s) • Pour salt on a small flat plate • Rub the rim of a cocktail glass or high ball glass with a half slice of grapefruit • Place glass, rim side down on top of the salt. Twist glass to coat the entire rim. • Fill with crushed ice, up to 1/4” from the rim • Pour cocktail mix on top of the ice (strained or unstrained) up to 1/2” from the rim • Top with grapefruit soda or club soda “floater” • Garnish with a wedge or halved slice of grapefruit or rosemary (optional) PROCEDURE Yield : 2 servings Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes CHEFROSANA.COM | @CHEFROSANARIVERA
